About Us
Surabaya is a family-led brand built on craftsmanship, transparency, and long-term relationships with independent boutiques. I move to Bali and Thailand for some months of the year to personally select every roll of fabric and oversee each stage of production, ensuring a direct connection between those who create our garments and the boutiques who bring them to life.
We work with the finest rayon batik and premium Thai cotton, carefully sourced to balance exceptional quality with pricing that supports healthy, sustainable retail. Our collections are created to help boutiques remain competitive and profitable, without compromising on ethics, design integrity, or artisan value.
Being physically present in our workshops allows us to guarantee what is written on every label, from fabric composition to ethical local labor. As a small, boutique-focused company, we partner with stores who value freedom of choice, a true understanding of retail dynamics, and personal, human support.
Based between Bali, Indonesia and Chiang Mai, Thailand, we maintain direct control over the entire production process. We produce premium batik garments and 100% natural cotton apparel, combining generations of textile experience with thoughtful, contemporary design. With more than 35 years of history, today we operate with greater clarity and transparency than ever before, for boutiques seeking true distinction without
prohibitive pricing.
Our story began 35 years ago with my parents and continues today with me, guided by the same passion and a renewed commitment to total transparency. In 2025, I moved to Bali, Indonesia to be present where the heart of our production beats, not as a distant supplier, but as a hands-on partner and your expert eye on the ground.
Raw materials as a Priority
We believe excellence should be accessible. That’s why we select the finest rayon, carefully curate batik designs and colors from Bali, Indonesia and source premium cotton from Chiang Mai, Thailand. Living close to our production allows us to ensure that every fabric and every garment reflects constant research, ethical work, and uncompromising quality, while remaining accessible for boutique retail.

Our Founders
Surabaya was founded by Fabienne Natoli and Sergio Vecchietti, and today continues with Arianna Vecchietti, carrying forward a family tradition built over more than 35 years.
